Registration of construction works
Before starting construction works an administrative decision permitting starting and carrying out construction works or building works shall be obtained.

A permit for construction works can concern the whole building plan or in case of a bigger project only some indicated part of it.
 
The decision expires after 3 years from the date of its coming into force or if the construction works are interrupted for a period of more than 3 years.

In case of some works, obtaining a building permit is not required, only making the notification .

NOTIFICATION ABOUT BUILDING OBJECTS OR CARRYING OUT CONSTRUCTION WORKS


The department responsible: Urban Planning and Architecture Department 

Required documents:
•    construction works notification /form no. 10/

•    a statement of the right to have the power of attorney to have the real estate at one’s disposal

•    a drawing presenting the range of works

•    permits, opinions, agreements required by separate laws or regulations

•    In case of building architectural details  in public places, additionally a project of the development of the plot or the area made by a designer with required building qualifications shall also be presented

•    in case of construction works:

- tank system for liquid gas with an isolated tank  of the capacity up to 7 m3, designated for  feeding gas systems in single-family housing

- connections: power grid, waterworks, sewage system, gas systems, heating and  telecommunications

Moreover, a plot (or area) development project along with a technical description of the systems and fittings made by a designer with proper building qualifications shall be attached.

Fees/charges:
there are no charges  for the notification of building works

Deadlines:
the building works can be started unless within 30 days from the date of submitting the notification the proper body makes a refusal, and not later than  after 2 years from the deadline of starting works indicated in the notification.

Legal basis: :  The Act dated 07 July 1994 – Building Law (harmonized text: Law Gazette from 2006 r. No. 156 , item. 1118 with further amendments).
