The third edition of Dabrowa Gornicza- Direction Investments. Investments Automotive– Direction Dabrowa Gornicza gathered more than 150 guests – professionals and enthusiasts of automotive industry, representatives of state administration, R&D sector and entrepreneurs. The event organized within the 100 – anniversary of the granting municipal rights of Dabrowa Gornicza and 20 – anniversary of the Katowice Special Economic Zone, confirmed the huge investment potential of the region.

The automotive industry in Poland includes the last years very successful. Increased sales of passenger cars in the domestic market, increasing the role of export markets. An important place on the national map of Automotive sector occupy Dabrowa Górnicza and Katowice Special Economic Zone. The Silesian Province is the Polish basin automotive industry. Built here ecosystem supports the production sector Automotive – emphasized Kazimierz Korolczak, Member of the Board of the Silesian Province. Attractive location of the city, a small distance to the airport Katowice in Pyrzowice, cooperation with SEZ, efficient office services for investors and a special resolution of the city conductive to entrepreneurs make Dabrowa Gornicza the best place in Poland for the automotive industry – summarizes the Zbigniew Podraza, President of Dabrowa Gornicza.

An important role in the development of the automotive sector plays in the region Katowice Special Economic Zone, considered in the ranking of the magazine Financial Times “Global Free Zone of the Year 2015” for the best economic zone in Europe and second in the world. Our strong position is thanks to the cooperation of local governments and their efforts. We are the catalyst for their work – said Piotr Wojaczek, Chairman of the Katowice SEZ. Additional support for investors from the automotive industry in the region, are dedicated to the programs of the National Research and Development Centre and a number of programs of the Ministry of Development.

This year’s edition of the conference Dabrowa Gornicza- Direction Investment. Investments Automotive – Direction Dabrowa Gornicza was devoted to the issues centered around the future of the automotive industry not only in the region but also throughout the country. What are the latest investments in the automotive industry? On which instruments of support they can count representatives of this sector? Is Silesia and Zaglebie will be production facilities for automotive kastra CEE? What role is played by R & D centers in the construction of a competitive advantage?
