On 23rd of July, Council of Ministers has adopted 14 decrees introducing regulation that will prolong functioning of Special Economic Zones for 6 more years. It is good news for entrepreneurs already present in SEZ and those who plan to begin a new project within their boundaries.

According to Ministry of Economy, extending activity of SEZ for period of 6 years will result in more emerging foreign projects in Poland as offer of such zones act as a great incentive for investors. There are still almost 14 years until 2026 and this time will enable full use of Special Economic Zones’ potential in Poland, which can reach 20 thousand ha in total.

 
Katowice Special Economic Zone, which thanks to Sosnowiec-Dąbrowa Górnicza Subzone include terrain in our city, is the leading Polish Special Economic Zone. Last year, it was placed by the Business Financial Times FDI best economic zone ranking in second place in Europe and eleventh worldwide.
 
Constant development of Katowice Special Economic Zone can be also seen in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Our investment offer includes 186 ha of terrains which lay within the zone. The biggest of them – Industrial and service land TUCZNAWA (almost 260 ha, of which 99,5 ha is in KSEZ) will be soon connected with main regional and national roads.
 
All investors, who start new business project in Katowice Special Economic Zone may receive public aid, provided as tax relief based on:
  • costs of new investment or
  • creation of new workplaces.
