Statement on Accessibility
The City Hall in Dąbrowa Górnicza undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This website partially complies with the law of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to incompatibilities or exclusions listed below:
- Some files are not digitally accessible (scans, PDF). In addition, information in the form of attachments is not available digitally in its entirety because it comes from external entities and has been submitted for publication only in paper form requiring processing into electronic form (scans); some examples of such information include: declarations of assets, documentation of the course and effects of external audits, notices of geodetic works in progress, notices of administrative proceedings, documents in the announcements module, petitions, councillors’ interpellations.
- Lack of a proper header structure for articles.

IV. Information on the Procedure
Everyone has the right to request the accessibility of a digital website or of an element thereof. You may also request that the information be made accessible through an alternative means of access, for example by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc.

- an indication of the website or website element of the public body to be made digitally accessible,
- an indication of how to contact the requestor.
Where the requestor wishes to obtain it by means of an alternative means of access, he/she should also specify how the information can be conveniently provided.
The public entity should execute the request without undue delay, no later than within 7 days from the date of request. Should it not be possible to comply with this time limit, the public body shall, without undue delay, inform the requestor when it will be possible to comply with the request, but no later than 2 months from the date of the request. Where digital accessibility is not possible, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. Where a public body refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or an alternative means of accessing the information, the requestor may lodge a complaint about the digital accessibility of a website or website element. The provisions of Section VIII of the Act of 14 June 1960 on Administrative Proceedings shall apply to complaints considered in the proceedings on ensuring accessibility of a digital website or website element. Once the aforesaid procedure has been unsuccessfully completed, an application may also be made to the Ombudsman.

The website includes facilities introduced for screen readers. Short menus allow you to jump to particular parts of the screen, unique page headings make it possible to distinguish between pages, photos and graphics have alternative descriptions, and links have descriptions in more detail.

IX. Accessibility on Mobile Devices
The website was built using the “Responsive Web Design” method (RWD). This method means that the website automatically adjusts the display to the resolution and size of the screen. It does not require zooming or scrolling horizontally. In devices such as tablets, smartphones and mobile phones, the website is much more legible and user-friendly.
